Tryouts for the Greenwich Blues and Greenwich Panthers travel ice hockey teams for the 2016-17 season begin next week at the Stamford Twin Rinks.
Tryouts are from Tuesday to Sunday at the Rinks, located at 1062 Hope Street in Stamford.
The Greenwich Blues and Greenwich Panthers are youth-travel ice hockey programs dedicated to providing opportunities for children to further their ice hockey skills in a competitive environment.
They each have teams at all age levels, which are based on birth year. All Greenwich Blues teams are coed and the Greenwich Panthers are girls only.
For the Greenwich Blues, Bantam teams are for children born in 2002 and 2003, while Peewee teams are for children born in 2004 and 2005. Squirt teams are for kids born in 2006 and 2007, while Mites are for children born in 2008 and sooner.
The Greenwich Panthers have U-14A, U-12A, U-12B, U-10 and U-8 teams.
