The Greenwich High School girls basketball team, for the first time in school history, competed in the state class LL championship game earlier today at the Mohegan Sun Arena.
Although the Lady Cardinals were defeated 50-45 against a solid Stamford High School team, Big Red has no reason to hang their heads. Greenwich finished the season 19-5, a far cry from where they were just four short years ago. In the title game, Abbie Wolf led Big Red with 14 points, while Emily Anderson added 12. Caroline Beneville and Jayla Faison each finished with seven points.
