

The Chamber Players of the Greenwich Symphony resume their season concerts on Sunday, March 6 and Monday, March 7. Performances will be on Sunday at the Round Hill Community Church at 4 p.m. and on Monday at the Bruce Museum at 7:30 p.m.
At these concerts, titled “Romance,” pianist Andrew Gordon, violinists Krystof Witek, and Susan Hytken Metcalf, and cellist Danny Miller will be playing music of Dvořák, Brahms and Prokofiev. They will be joined by a guest artist, violist Junah Chung.
Mr. Chung is a graduate of the Juilliard School of Music and has been in The Lion King on Broadway.

In Sergei Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet Suite No. 1 Andrew Gordon and Junah Chung will play a version that was arranged for viola and piano by Prokofiev’s friend, the famous violist Vadim Vasilyevich Borisowski. It consists of eight short sections, each one based on a scene from Shakespeare’s play. It is titled simply – Music from Romeo and Juliet for Viola and Piano.
Bagatelles for Two Violins, Cello & Piano, composed in 1878 by Antonin Dvořák, was originally played by the strings, together with either a harmonium or piano. The program ends with the Piano Quintet in F minor, Op. 34 by Johannes Brahms.
