

The Greenwich High School gymnastics team upped its overall record to 2-0 on the season with a 142-80.5 victory over Fairfield Warde High School Thursday night.
During the meet, which took place at the Greenwich YWCA, Big Red took the gold, silver and bronze in the all-around. Pacing the team was Adnerys DeJesus, as she scored a meet-high 37.45 and took the top spot in three of the four events.
DeJesus netted a first-place score of 9.65 on the bars, while she took a score of 9.25 on beam for first place. On the floor exercise, DeJesus outshined the competition with a score of 9.55.
Not to be outdone was Kelsey Fedorko, as she took second in the all-around with a score of 36.4 and had a career-best on the bars and floor exercise. She took the silver on beam (9.10), bars (9.0) and on floor with a score of 9.45. On vault Fedorko grabbed a score of 8.85, which was good enough for third.
Taking third in the all-around with Jessica Freheit, who had a bunch of personal best scored shattered Thursday. Her first place performance on vault (9.10) was a career-best, as was her third place score on floor (9.05). Freheit also grabbed third on the beam with a score of 8.3.
In addition, the Lady Cardinals had two other athletes achieve personal best performances. Aisling Brock grabbed a score of 8.1 on beam, while Valerie Cella took home a score of 8.2 on floor.
In addition to the beam, Brock also grabbed a fourth place score of 8.85 on floor and a 7.6 on vault.
Big Red will be back in action Saturday when they battle Trumbull High School.
