Greenwich Land Trust Elects New Board Members

Kenneth C. Halcom is a partner of Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, where he practices in the Trusts & Estates Department. Ken received a J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law, where he was valedictorian and Editor‑in‑Chief of the Law Review. He also earned a Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.) from New York University School of Law. He is currently a trustee of the Greenwich Library, a parishioner of Christ Church Greenwich and has provided pro bono legal expertise to the GLT. Originally from Illinois, Ken currently lives in Cos Cob with his wife and children.

Jacqueline Coyle Keeshan graduated from Tufts University and UCONN School of Law. After practicing business and estate planning law, Jackie turned to volunteer service as Board President of Family Centers, Inc., trustee of Greenwich Hospital, board member of the Fairfield County Community Foundation, and director of the Round Hill Club. An enthusiastic school volunteer in both public and private schools, Jackie currently volunteers for the Greenwich Public Schools’ Reading Champions program. Jackie is a lifelong Greenwich resident and is the daughter of the late Frank Coyle, a founding member and president of the Greenwich Land Trust.

Caralyn Stevens is currently the Chair of the Selectman’s Nomination Advisory Committee and Vice President of Development for River House, GADC. Her previous volunteer positions include President of the Greenwich YWCA, President of the Garden Education Center, President of River House, and Vice President of Planning for United Way of Greenwich.  Caralyn works in sales for Caspari, a family owned business specializing in fine paper goods. She and her husband Doug have three daughters, all   graduates of Greenwich High School. Caralyn served on GLT’s Advisory Council and chaired the GLT’s Go Wild! @ Night in 2009.

Tara Breslin Vittone graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and studied at Carnegie Mellon’s Heinz School of Public Policy & Management. Tara practiced corporate law at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney and as in-house counsel at several companies. She served in volunteer leadership roles for the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and the Loyalhanna Watershed Association. Tara volunteers with Greenwich Country Day School, Greenwich Historical Society, Nantucket Community Sailing, and the Nantucket Conservation Foundation. A member of the GLT’s Communications Committee, Tara lives in Greenwich with her husband and two daughters.

“The Greenwich Land Trust is fortunate to attract talented Directors with a wealth of community experience and diverse professional skills,” remarked Ginny Gwynn, GLT’s Executive Director. “We look forward to an exciting 2016 with our new conservation center and with plans to expand our land conservation efforts for the community.”

The following GLT Directors were elected as Officers of the Board of Directors for a one-year term: Janice Trebbi Richards as President, Bruce Dixon as Vice President and Treasurer, Matthew Bostock and Camille Broderick as Vice Presidents, and Margaret Conboy as Secretary.
