“This is an incredible opportunity for me personally and professionally,” Kevin said about joining the Spire School as its first Education Director. “You might expect that as a long-time educator, I not only value, but thrive on new learning. Coming to Spire in this capacity allows me to engage in an area of education I have only seen from afar. The learning curve is one I embrace with enthusiasm. My aim as Education Director is to serve as the lead learner in a setting rich with eager learners, be they students, faculty, or staff.”

Kevin earned a BA in special education with a minor in psychology and a BS in special education, with a concentration in emotional disturbances, from Southern Connecticut State University. He completed post-graduate studies in school administration and supervision at Sacred Heart University, where he earned a Certificate of Advanced Studies and certification in school administration.

He joined the Farmington public schools as assistant principal at Irving A. Robbins Middle School and eventually became principal. After seven years at the middle school, Kevin was appointed principal of Farmington High School. During this period, he continued post-graduate studies at the University of Connecticut, studying executive leadership and organizational design and development; he achieved certification as superintendent of schools.
