Attempted Burglary on Stanwich

policelights

At about 2 p.m. last Saturday, a resident in the 400 block of Stanwich Road heard a loud bang coming from the front door of the house.

According to Greenwich Police Lt. Kraig Gray, the resident, who was on the second story, thought it was a family member at the door. After calling to the door and getting no response, the resident found someone attempting to force his way inside the home.

Nothing was taken and there was no altercation.

A large black pick up truck, possibly towing a trailer, was seen driving away from the scene, according to police reports.

The Greenwich Police Department urges anyone who saw anything suspicious to contact the tip line at 203-622-3333 or 1-800-372-1176.
