Stanwich-candyIt’s not too often that children are excited to give away candy, but the halls of Stanwich’s Lower School were filled with excitement as students prepared to give away Halloween candy they collected. A few days after Halloween, students in first to sixth grades gathered mounds of candy they collected trick-or-treating and packaged the treats for Kids in Crisis. Students also decorated the bags of candy with pictures and words of encouragement.

Since its inception in 1998, Stanwich has pro-actively established meaningful relationships with numerous local, regional and international organizations to live out the school’s mission of “Making God’s world a better place.”

Kids in Crisis, based in Cos Cob, is Connecticut’s only free, round-the-clock agency providing emergency shelter, crisis counseling and community educational programs for children of all ages and families dealing with a wide range of crises.
