“The State of Connecticut is doing relatively well,” said Governor Dannel Malloy.

Close to 300 people filled the meeting room of the First Presbyterian Church Wednesday to hear Governor Dannel Malloy discuss how the State is doing.
“The dire consequences that everybody talks about are not in play. The difference that we have to make [up] in our expenditures is actually relatively small.”continued the Governor.
The Governor’s visit was presented by the Retired Men’s Association of Greenwich.
“It is always good to get a response from the politicians who are responsible for the State and what is going on,”said RMA President Ralph Viggiano.
Governor Malloy hit on three topics before taking questions from the audience – pension, transportation and second chance society, spending a majority of his time on transportation.
One of the questions posed to of the governor regarded security in the State after the attacks in Paris.
“We can never do enough to prevent terrorism, but we can promise one another we aren’t going to change who we are and what we are because terrorism exists,” he said.
