Kwegyirba Croffie spent the day with Greenwich Emergency Medical Services or GEMS, for the second installment of our Sentinel Goes to Work series.

Before her shift started at 10am, GEMS had already responded to 10 calls from about 6am to 10am.
GEMS paramedics are licensed in Advanced Life Support medical care and are assisted by trained Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs).
From responding to calls at doctors offices, to motor vehicle accidents, paramedics and EMTs face a different scenario on every call.
And we’re not done with GEMS yet. For our next installment, we’ll be heading to Greenwich High School with Robert Camp, GEMS Educational Coordinator for a lesson in lifesaving skills.
