The Lions Clubs of Greenwich and Old Greenwich will be selling grapefruits to benefit local people in need.
On Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Lions Club members will be selling the fruit for $20 a case. They will be setting up shop next to the Cos Cob Fire House and along Sound Beach Ave. in Old Greenwich.
“Look for the grapefruit and bright organic vests,” said Susan Ferris of the Lions Club.
The proceeds will support the needs of low vision individuals and go to social services that support children. The Lions Club says it has about 1300 cases for sale.
