Grab a dictionary and brush up on those words that start with the letter “Q.” It’s time for Literacy Volunteers’ 15th Annual Scrabble Challenge.
The event will be held Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. at the Greenwich Hyatt Regency. The Scrabble Challenge brings together families, school groups and members of the business community for an evening of friendly competition. Players will enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction and two rounds of Scrabble.
All proceeds will support Family Centers’ Literacy Volunteers’ English-language, literacy and education services offered to residents of Fairfield County.
Teams (up to three players) are forming now and a number of sponsorship opportunities are available. Teams are eligible to participate in three divisions: Corporate, Friends and Family and Schools.
To register or become a sponsor, visit familycenters.org or contact Aleksa Lazarewicz-Anstey at alazarewicz@familycenters.org or 203-869-4848.
