As part of its 350th anniversary year celebration, The First Congregational Church of Greenwich continues its Rev. Dr. Brenda J. Stiers Memorial Speaker Series. The next in this series is “Prophets & Profits: Economics and Theology in Today’s World,” on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 5 p.m. in the church Meetinghouse.

The program will feature Rev. Dr. Serene Jones, President, Union Theological Seminary and Dr. Robert Johnson, President, Institute for New Economic Thinking. A wine and cheese reception will follow.

This speaker series is dedicated to the memory of Brenda Stiers, a beloved spiritual and community leader in Greenwich for many years, and the wife of First Church’s Pastor Emeritus, Rev. Dr. Thomas L. Stiers.

The First Congregational Church is located at 108 Sound Beach Avenue. Visit fccog.org or call 203-637-1791 for more information.
