November is passenger safety month for the Town of Greenwich. The police department will be on heightened alert looking for drivers who aren’t wearing a seat belt.

In a press release, the Greenwich Police Department reports that Motor vehicle crashes are a leading cause of death during the first three decades of a person’s life here in the US.

The department also reports that the risk of death or injury can be reduced by properly buckling children into age and size appropriate car seats, and simply wearing a seat belt. To make sure residents are wearing seat belt, Greenwich Police will be taking part in the national Click It or Ticket campaign from November 23- 30.
