The Brunswick School hosted Worcester Academy under lights at Caputo Field Friday evening and came away with the 1-1 draw.

The Bruins were wearing special pink jerseys in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness, and there was also a small ceremony for our 15 senior players in honor of Senior Day before the game.

Worcester put some pressure on our defense in the opening half, but Brunswick goalkeeper Will Salomon came up big . He was able to scoop up or deflect away a handful crosses and corner kicks to keep the opponents off the board.

Sal Lopez gave Brunswick a 1-0 lead at the 43-minute mark, burying a great pass from senior Dayton Kingery in the back of the net.

Worcester tied up the game following an upper-90 shot from 20 yards out in the 65th minute.

With the draw, Brunswick is  currently 11-2-2, with the team’s last two regular season games coming up this week. They will be home for Hotchkiss School on Wednesday and travel up to Westminster to finish up the regular season Saturday.
