November is passenger safety month for the Town of Greenwich. The Greenwich Police Department will be participating in the National Click-It or Ticket enforcement program where they will be partnering with law enforcement agencies from across the country in a coordinated effort to enforce seatbelt laws from coast to coast. This national effort begins Nov. 23 and continues until the 30.

What you should know:

  • Motor vehicle crashes are a leading cause of death during the first three decades of American’s lives.
  • By wearing seatbelts and properly buckling children into age and size appropriate car seats and booster seats, people can reduce the risk of serious injury and death in a crash by half.
  • Officers are on heightened alert right now looking for those not wearing seatbelts.
