Griffith E. Harris Golf Course known as The Griff unveiled its new web site at thegriffgolf.org for all to see and use. It opens with a slide show of overhead panoramic views of the entire course followed by its facilities. It has six main tabs that include Course Information, Tee Times/Fees, Membership, Facilities/Clubs, Events/Specials and Contact. Information under these provide complete information about the golf course, its policies and fees, driving directions to the course, a link for members to make tee times or renew their membership on-line, a membership form for new members, specials offered by the club, notices of events, information about the golfing groups at The Griff, links to the Pro Shop and Restaurant web sites, how to contact the course or get on its e-mail list for news and specials, etc.
A highlight of the site is its course map and yardages section where the viewer can view each of the eighteen holes individually, obtain its yardages and get a tip from the Pro as to how best to play the hole.
This was a big undertaking that took many months to develop and perfect. Previously, some information about the course was a page within the Parks and Recreation Department section of the Town of Greenwich web site.
