Letter to the Editor: Provision for Street Lights on the main road, leading to Cos Cob and Valleywood Road

lettertotheeditor

Through the columns of your admired newspaper, I want to draw attention of the authorities concerned about the lack of provision for street lights on Field Road and Valleywood Road, Cos Cob, CT. The electricity board has installed a few poles on both streets, but it isn’t enough. People walking/running on the streets. Pedestrians have to use their devices to illuminate the streets while they walk/run. Due to the darkness, drivers can barely see pedestrians walking on the streets and that may lead to some kind of accident.

Another concern is that there is no stop sign between Valleywood Road and Field Road. Drivers that are coming from Valleywood Road can barely see cars that are coming from the left side of Field Road, which can cause a car accident. Several times I had to stop way before turning to Field Road because drivers coming from Field Road were driving above the speed limit and did not see my car. As I was driving safely I could have avoided accidents.

Hopefully, this letter can be published and authorities can solve the problem.
