Greenwich’s 375th Anniversary Year Celebration Continues

More events will be taking place during the final months of the year to celebrate the 375th Anniversary celebration of the founding of Greenwich.

Between Oct. 29 and Dec. 9, the Greenwich Library will dedicate a section of the Flinn Gallery to displaying maps of Greenwich, including maps that will be made by residents on site during their visit to the Gallery. On Nov. 24, the Greenwich Fellowship of Clergy is preparing a Thanksgiving Interfaith Service to be offered at the First United Methodist Church.

Rev. Heather Sinclair, recently appointed pastor of the First United Methodist Church at 59 Putnam Avenue and the church’s congregation are eager to welcome all to the special Interfaith service on Nov. 24 that will be celebrated with members of the Greenwich Fellowship of Clergy.

From Greenwich’s 28 churches ringing in New Year’s Day with their steeple bells resounding throughout the Town, the Founders Day Commemoration at Greenwich Point, May through July tours taking participants to explore the far corners of Greenwich, September’s Parade, the Symphony’s program, the Library’s exhibit, and the Interfaith Service, the 375th Anniversary festivities are an opportunity for learn more about Greenwich’s rich cultural heritage.
