

The Chamber Players of the Greenwich Symphony will open their 44th season on Oct. 11 and 12 with “Vive La France!,” a salute to French composers.
Harpist Victoria Drake will join string players Krystof Witek, David Creswell and Danny Miller to perform works by Camille Saint-Saëns, André Jolivet, and Joseph Jongen. Susan Rotholz, flutist, will be heard in works by François Devienne, André Jolivet, and Joseph Jongen, a Belgian composer. Works by Erik Satie and Albert Roussel will complete the program.
The Alliance Française of Greenwich, headed by Renée Amory Ketcham, will partner with the Chamber Players and have offered to add to the French flavor by providing French wines and hors d’oeuvres following the opening concert on Sunday.
The Chamber Players will welcome the return of Victoria Drake, principal harp of the Greenwich Symphony.
The Oct. 11 concert will be at 4 p.m. at he Round Hill Community Church, 395 Round Hill Road, and repeated on Monday, Oct. 12 at 7:30 p.m. at the Bruce Museum, One Museum Drive.
