Artists are often inspired by autumn’s brilliant oranges, reds and golds set against a clear blue sky. In celebration of this beautiful season, the Art Society of Old Greenwich (ASOG) presents its 2015 Autumn Art Show at the Garden Education Center of Greenwich. The show runs from Friday, Oct. 2 to Thursday, Oct. 28.
People will enjoy a delightful array of artworks, landscapes, still lifes, abstracts, portraits, in a variety of media. ASOG member artists will exhibit works in watercolor, oil, acrylic, drawing/graphics, photography, mixed media, pastel and sculpture.
The Garden Education Center of Greenwich is located at 130 Bible Street, and it is open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 pm. An artists’ reception will take place on Friday, Oct. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the center. Refreshments will be served, and award winners will be announced. The exhibit and reception are free of charge.
While this exhibit is open to ASOG members only, anyone may submit work and join the society at receiving: Thursday, Oct. 1, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the Garden Education Center. Cash awards will be presented to first and second place winners at the reception. For complete entry details visit Artsocietyofoldgreenwich.com
