Golfers hit the course at the Round Hill Club on Monday for the 29th annual Perry L. Burns Memorial Golf Tournament in support of the Greenwich Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
“This goes to supporting Council operations. During the year, we run lots of programs and we support over 2,000 kids in the Greenwich area,” said Council President Andrew Milgram.
The event was recently renamed in honor of Perry Burns. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Greenwich Council and a member of the Round Hill Club.
“Perry’s leadership’s instrumental in making this tournament a success. He passed away recently, and in honor of his service, we renamed the tournament,” said Milgram.
The fundraiser will continue tonight with a dinner and live and silent auctions.
