It was the perfect day for what organizers say is the unofficial start of fall- the 16th annual Go Wild event.
“We’ve got a wonderful family field day with tons of activities all in support of the Greenwich Land Trust,” said Anne Gray.
Go Wild is a fundraiser for the Greenwich Land Trust and it’s held at the Greenwich Polo Grounds.
“This is a 62 acre property where we have a conservation easement, so no home sort other bookings can ever be built here,” said Ginny Gwynn of the GLT.
There are many activities for kids of all ages- like pony rides, a surfing simulator, and a petting zoo.
“It’s a fun way to get out and about and see friends all for a good cause,” said Catie Salyer.
“The money we raise today will help us int he acquisition of new land, and also in the stewardship of lands we already hold,” said Gwynn.
The Greenwich Land Trust currently protects about 745 acres of land in Town.
