The Brunswick School cross-country team fared well at Greens Farms Academy earlier today, beating six other schools to go perfect on the day.

The Bruins upended St. Luke’s 15-50 and then Rye Country Day School 15-48. Against King School, Brunswick came away with the 16-45 win and took the 19-41 win against host team Greens Farms Academy. Brunswick kept the good times rolling with a 21-40 victory over Masters and rounded out the day with a 21-37 victory over Hopkins School.

Senior captain Andrew Israel won the event, posting a time of 17:50 and had a comfortable 40-second lead over the runner-up. Israel paced off the leaders throughout the opening mile before grabbing the lead midway through the race. It was in the final mile where Israel broke it open.

Sophomore Wes Peisch finished fifth overall and it was a trio of juniors that put the race out of reach. Jack Parkin took sixth on the day, while Colin McFaddin finished ninth overall. Not to be outdone was Paul Grasso, who took 11th on the day.

Senior captain Chris Peisch ended the day 16th overall, while freshman Charlie Ciporin jumped on the scene and took home 18th.
