The Greenwich Fire Department has just promoted two members. Firefighters Dennis Frulla and Matt Brooks are now Lieutenants.

“If you want to be able to play in the big league, you have to be able to hit the curve. The member of the Greenwich Fore Department are all-stars,” said Chief Peter Siecienski.

“Life safety is paramount. It’s the number one service any community can offer its residents,” said First Selectman Peter Tesei.

Frulla was with the Ridgefield Fire department for many years before he became a Greenwich Fire Fighter.

“Dennis is certified as a Fire Officer II. He’s a fire service instructor, and certified as a fire incident instructor,” said Siecienski.

Brooks also has a long history with the department.

“He’s a hard working individual, a Fire Fighter II, and Fire Instructor,” said Siecienski.

But, the department has more to celebrate today. Two recruits were sworn in as the newest members of the fire department.

“Folks who work for the Town, in and out of emergency services, truly become a family,” said Tesei.
