The Greenwich Police Department is now accepting applications for the 2015 Citizen’s Police Academy Fall Session. The six-week program will commence on Monday, Sept. 21, and will meet twice per week from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Greenwich Police Department on Mondays and Wednesdays. Graduation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 4.
The Citizen’s Police Academy provides Greenwich residents and employees with a first-hand overview of both law enforcement and community-related functions of their Police Department. Some of the topics of instruction include: Introduction to Policing, 911 Awareness, Use of Force, Scams and Fraud, Crime Scene/Forensics, and new this year – After the Arrest.
