

The Hon. Lile Gibbons was elected six times to the Connecticut State Legislature where she served as the State Representative from the 150th District in Greenwich from 2001-2013. She was Ranking Member of the Human Services Committee for ten years and also served on the Transportation, Energy and Finance Committees. She was appointed an Assistant Minority Leader in 2008. Prior to being elected to the General Assembly, Gibbons was active in both local and state education, serving on the Greenwich Board of Education for nine years, including three years as Chairman, and the State Board of Higher Education. Lile has served on numerous nonprofit boards both local and statewide. Currently, Lile is a commissioner on the Harbor Management Commission. She also is on the board of Audubon Connecticut and two philanthropic foundations. Lile graduated from Smith College with a BA in economics. She and her husband, John A. Gibbons, Jr., have four married children and ten grandchildren.
