David Theis Remembered with Red, White, and Blue

The legacy of the late selectman David Theis lives on- The
Mianus River Bridge is once again adorned with red, white,
and blue.

“This is the fifth year,” said Asst. Chief of Cos Cob Volunteer
Fire Dept. John Pugni.

“I’m feeling sad that he’s not here, but happy that so many
people came out to honor him,” said Kerrin Coyle.

Dave’s partner of 33 years Kerrin Coyle put the first flag in
place as friends, family, and even people in the cars passing
by cheered.

“People are going to be happy to see them back up again,” said
Pugni

Town officials are currently working on passing legislature to have
the bridge named after the beloved selectman. They are hopeful
the bill will be passed this summer.
