Annual ‘Stamp Out Hunger’ Food Drive Set for May 11

The nationwide Stamp Out Hunger food drive is back and happening on Saturday, May 11. The annual food drive benefits Neighbor to Neighbor, Greenwich’s food pantry.

Residents are asked to fill a bag with non-perishable, non-expired food items and leave them by their mailbox on the morning of Saturday, May 11. Letter carriers will collect the filled bags during their regular routes and bring them to Neighbor to Neighbor.

Neighbor to Neighbor is in need of the following items:
• Canned proteins (tuna, spam, chicken)
• Pasta
• Pasta sauce
• Canned or dried fruit
• Peanut butter
• Jelly
• Cereal

Neighbor to Neighbor will also accept new household essential items such as surface wipes and household cleaning supplies.

For all donations, please be mindful of expiration dates and double check to make sure items are unopened.

For those who are unable to participate in the physical food drive, there is also a Stamp Out Hunger Virtual Food Drive that is open now. Fresh fruits and vegetables are available for purchase and will be delivered back to NTN.

Please visit https://amplify.ampyourgood.com/user/campaigns/4515 for more information.

Neighbor to Neighbor is currently serving over 575 Greenwich households with food and basic living essentials. Donations from this event will allow NTN to serve more neighbors in need during the summer.

Neighbor to Neighbor is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving residents in need throughout the Greenwich area. They improve lives by providing for the exchange of food, clothing and basic living essentials in an atmosphere of kindness and respect.
