Whitby School Announces New Team Member

Whitby announced today that Kristin White is joining the school to head the Secondary School Counseling Program. Kristin brings over 16 years of experience working closely with students and parents on the college and school admission process. She is the Founder and Director of Darien Academic Advisors, an independent educational consulting firm that helps students and their families explore independent school and college admissions.

“We are thrilled to have Kristin join our team,” said Dr. Jack Creeden, Whitby Head of School. “Whitby’s 18-month Secondary School Program has always served our students well in preparing them for the school of their choice, and now, with Kristin on board, we can take the program to an entirely new level.”

Kristin is the author of two books — The Complete Guide to the Gap Year: The Best Things to Do Between High School and College and It’s The Student, Not The College: The Secrets of Succeeding at any School Without Going Broke or Crazy.

Kristin earned her BS in International Business and Marketing from Georgetown University and her MBA in Marketing from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas -Austin. She is a professional member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and the New England Association of College Admissions Counselors (NEACAC).
