Botanist Discusses Wildflowers of Connecticut

Join Audubon Greenwich botanist Ted Elliman on Thursday, April 21, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.for a look at the wildflowers of Connecticut as described in his new book A Field Guide to the Wildflowers of New England. Published by Timber Press in partnership with New England Wild Flower Society, this comprehensive guide describes and illustrates more than 1,000 of New England’s native and naturalized wildflowers. In this lecture, Ted will discuss the flora of many of Connecticut’s natural communities, presenting images of common and rare plants and highlighting species that are particularly distinct to the state. Books will be available for sale, and a book signing will follow the lecture.
