The Palace Recognizes Greenwich Students for Original Plays

On June 4, three high school students will experience the joy of live theatre in a whole new way – as playwrights. Greenwich residents Andrew Casturo-Burnette and Will Donovan and Rye resident Kristina Dignelli were named winners of The Palace Theatre’s 2018 Ernie DiMattia Emerging Young Artist Scholarship Awards for their writing of an original one-act play. GHS Students National Champions in Virtual Supreme Court Competition

On May 18, The Harlan Institute and The Constitutional Sources Project (ConSource) hosted the championship round of the fifth annual National Virtual Supreme Court Competition for high school students. The competition was hosted in the Supreme Court Institute Moot Court Room at Georgetown University Law Center, where two teams of talented high school students argued the case of Trinity Lutheran Church v. Comer in front of a panel of nine judges in a small-scale replica of the courtroom at the United States Supreme Court. read more...

GHS Students Take Top Honors at Science Innovation Fair

Five Greenwich High School students took the top awards at the Bruce Museum”s third annual Phenomenon: Science Innovation Fair on June 2. The competition recognized science research projects by regional high school students in grades nine to 12. Ten students selected from 19 applicants, presented research posters to the public and a panel of science and technologogy judges at the museum in Greenwich. read more...
