River House to Host ‘Silver Jubilee’

The River House Adult Day Center will hold its “Silver Jubilee” on Thursday, April 25 at 6:30 p.m., at Riverside Yacht Club, 102 Club Rd. In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of River House’s Garden Party, the evening will include cocktails, passed dinner, a silent auction, and music by DJ April Larken. River House will honor Lori Ann Contadino, Director of the Greenwich Commission on Aging and long-time friend of River House, with the 2019 Community Impact Award. read more...

River House Receives Grant

River House Adult Day Center received a $54,000 grant from the Steven & Alexandra Cohen Foundation to fund meals. “River House offers so many benefits to members that the meal program is often overlooked. Daily access to a nutritious lunch and snacks is critical to the health, happiness, and longevity of our members,” said Executive Director, Donna Spellman, MS. “We are enormously grateful to the Steven & Alexandra Cohen Foundation for recognizing the need and impact of the program.” read more...

River House to Host Kick-Off Breakfast

River House Adult Day Center is hosting a Kick-Off Breakfast on Friday, Dec. 14 to begin preparing for their 25th Annual Garden Party Silver Jubilee, which will be held this April. The co-chairs of the event, Katie Cosby, Amory Armstrong Kenny, and JoAnn McCarthy, encourage anyone who is interested in being a part of the Event Committee to swing by River House at 9:30 a.m. Be a part of a fundraiser that has become a springtime staple in Greenwich. Greenwich United Way Grants Additional $30,000 to River House

Greenwich United Way CEO, David Rabin, sent a letter to all existing Community Investment grantees on May 24, with the news that the organization would be providing additional funds towards programs that met human service needs of the Greenwich community by June 30. “We will consider applications for funding for programs in the following three fields of service: Crisis/Self-Sufficiency, Children and Families and Older Adults,” said Rabin. read more...

Free Alzheimer’s Education Program at River House
