Grand Re-Opening of Bruce Museum’s Seaside Center is June 24

This Sunday, June 24, the Bruce Museum Seaside Center celebrates their annual Grand Reopening from 1 to 4 p.m. The opening is part of the Greenwich Shellfish Commission’s “Experience the Sound” event, bringing together scores of community groups and organizations in Greenwich and the surrounding area that organize water sports and other environmental pursuits. read more...

The Rummage Room Grand Reopening is Sept. 5

The First Congregational Church of Greenwich announces the Grand Reopening of the Rummage Room on Tuesday, Sept. 5 at 10 a.m. Be the first to purchase goods of all kinds at bargain prices. Located at 191 Sound Beach Ave. in Old Greenwich, the entire store is restocked with ‘new’ merchandise. Greenwich Skate Park to Reopen

On Sept. 9, The Greenwich Skate Park will be celebrating the grand reopening of its new cement Skate Park. The Skate Park was first built through a collaborative effort between the Junior League of Greenwich and the Town of Greenwich, Parks and Recreation Department, and was gifted to the town in 2003. After 14 years of use it was time for the skate park to get a facelift. read more...

Audubon Greenwich’s Hilfiger Learning Center Reopens

Audubon Greenwich celebrated the Grand Reopening of its Hilfiger Children’s Learning Center Jan. 8, including a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Tommy Hilfiger and his son Sebastian. Over two hundred visitors enjoyed a live animal show with Curious Creatures, storytelling, nature crafts, live music with Whitby school’s music teacher, Mr. Vinny, and a variety of other activities. Audubon Senior Naturalist Ted Gilman helped families observe winter bird behavior from the warmth of the Center’s large bird-viewing window, then learn how to enter their observations into a web-based citizen science database, Project Feederwatch. Students from Whitby School volunteered for the afternoon, helping younger children create animal figures using twigs, leaves and other items from nature. read more...
