Volunteer Firefighters Deliver Meals to Greenwich Hospital Staff

On May 25 – Memorial Day – Governor Ned Lamont, Greenwich First Selectman Fred Camillo, and CT State Representative Stephen Meskers, joined the volunteer firefighters of Greenwich as they delivered meals for the doctors, nurses, and staff of Greenwich Hospital in appreciation for their efforts since COVID-19 reached Greenwich. River House Receives Grant

River House Adult Day Center received a $54,000 grant from the Steven & Alexandra Cohen Foundation to fund meals. “River House offers so many benefits to members that the meal program is often overlooked. Daily access to a nutritious lunch and snacks is critical to the health, happiness, and longevity of our members,” said Executive Director, Donna Spellman, MS. “We are enormously grateful to the Steven & Alexandra Cohen Foundation for recognizing the need and impact of the program.” read more...

Meals-On-Wheels Launches Annual Campaign

Meals-On-Wheels of Greenwich is entering its 58th year of improving the quality of life for the elderly and homebound in the Greenwich community. This past year, 75 dedicated volunteer drivers delivered over 22,000 meals. The organization provides a home delivery service of nutritious meals at a low cost to those in need. Clients in the program are usually unable to shop or cook for themselves and require home-delivered meals for nourishment and the ability to remain at home. read more...
