Splurge Collecting After School Snacks for Kids In Crisis

Now through Sept. 30, in preparation for back to school, Splurge boutique is collecting healthy snacks for children staying at Kids In Crisis to enjoy during and after school. Members of the community can donate individually packaged, healthy, shelf-stable snacks for the residents at Kids In Crisis, the Cos Cob-based emergency shelter and community resource. Some examples of the types of snacks needed include individually packaged nuts, dried fruit, granola bars, crackers, applesauce, fruit cups, popcorn, pretzels and low sugar cookies. read more...

Prime’s ‘The Taste of Giving’ Event to Benefit Kids In Crisis

On Thursday, Sept. 13 from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Prime will host a celebration of the eclectic hors d’oeurves and innovative cocktails they are well known for. Enjoy live jazz music and experience beautiful harbor side views from Prime’s newly renovated cabana bar. A limited number of tickets will be available in advance for $50. Tickets will be available at the door on a first come basis for $65. 100% of the proceeds of this event will go to Kids in Crisis. New Course Set for Kids in Crisis’ ‘Navigators KIC It’

Athletes of all levels are invited to register for the 11th annual Navigators KIC IT Races, which will be held June 23 and 24 at Cummings Beach in Stamford. The Navigators Stamford KIC IT Races raise awareness and funds for Greenwich’s Kids In Crisis, a free emergency shelter and 24-hour crisis counseling resource for Fairfield County children and families. read more...

Splurge Holds Easter Basket Drive for Children in Need

A local Easter tradition continues for the 11th consecutive year as Splurge partners with Kids in Crisis and the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County to collect filled Easter baskets for children in need. Located at 39 Lewis St., Splurge provides a convenient downtown location for members of the community to donate filled Easter baskets now through Wednesday, March 28. Splurge owner Sonia Sotire Malloy shared, “Over the past ten years, thanks to our very generous customers and the local Girl Scouts, we have donated almost 1,000 filled Easter Baskets to Kids in Crisis and the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County. This year our goal is to collect 150 filled Easter baskets. These baskets will touch many lives and allow local children in need share in the joy of the Easter holiday.” read more...
