Kids In Crisis to Host Community-Wide Scavenger Hunt

Kids In Crisis will run its first ever, family friendly, community-wide Scavenger Hunt July 27 through August 7. This two-week long virtual event is free to all participants and will include 60 missions, in categories that include ‘Family Fun’, ‘Do Good’ and ‘Community Awareness & Support’. Greenwich High School Students Ride for Pride

In celebration of Pride Month, the GHS Democracy in Action club is raising awareness and money through a virtual event and fundraiser in support of Kids in Crisis Lighthouse. The student club is sponsoring “Pride Ride” which is taking place June 17 to June 30. The students are asking the entire community to show support for Pride Month by setting exercise goals for themselves and raising funds for Lighthouse, a program which was acquired by Kids In Crisis in 2018 to support LGBTQ+ youth in Fairfield County in providing a safe and confidential space to encourage all LGBTQ+ young people to live their best, healthiest, and most authentic lives. read more...

Kids In Crisis Receives New Funding

SafeHaven for Kids, a core program of Kids In Crisis announces receipt of a $15,000 grant from the New Canaan Community Foundation. SafeHaven for Kids provides 24-hour Crisis Helpline counseling and referrals, In-Person Crisis Intervention, and a comprehensive Emergency Shelter Program for Connecticut newborn to 18-year-old kids of any race, ethnicity, religion, community of origin, socio-economic status, gender identity, or sexual orientation. read more...

COVID-19 Community Relief Second Round of Grants Issued

The Greenwich United Way’s Greenwich COVID-19 Community Relief Fund issued its second round of grants totaling $13,500 for Kids In Crisis and Meals on Wheels. The GUW Board of Directors and Grants Committee volunteers, including Greenwich selectperson Jill Oberlander, continues to review proposals from local agencies, conducting a deep dive into each organization’s financials, and assessing the specific recovery-related needs. read more...

MIKU SUSHI Partners with Kids In Crisis

This weekend, MIKU SUSHI (MIKU) launches a new community outreach program designed to help generate stronger connections in the community. On Saturday, lunch customers will be the first to try select items from a special menu that was developed in partnership with Kids In Crisis (KIC). The promotional menu will feature two sushi rolls and a cooked dish that will be available for lunch, dinner, and takeout during the entire month of February. The Inner-City Foundation for Charity & Education announces 18 grant awards, awarding $149,500 to local Fairfield County programs and organizations from September 1, 2019 through December, 2019.
