#JLGThankourheroes Campaign to Thank All the Heroes in our Community

The Junior League of Greenwich (JLG) announces “#JLGThankourheroes”, a new social media campaign in recognition of National EMS week. The JLG is inviting everyone in the community to create thank you cards, heart-felt video messages, drawings or simple posts of thanks and use the tag #JLGThankourheroes. The gratitude display is not just limited to EMS, the JLG wants to know who your hero has been in the Town of Greenwich over the past couple months. Junior League Announces Community Service Award

Each year the Junior League of Greenwich designates funds to be awarded to a local female high school student through its Community Service Award. The award of $1,000 is intended to recognize a high school student who exemplifies the mission of the Junior League of Greenwich by demonstrating sustained commitment to community service. The recipient must be someone whose volunteer activities demonstrate initiative and show significant and sustained commitment to community service and leadership. read more...

JLG Celebration Dinner with Barbara Pierce Bush

The Junior League of Greenwich (JLG) announces “An Evening with Barbara Pierce Bush,” the culminating event of their 60th Year Celebration, which will take place on Dec. 2 at 6:30 p.m. at the Greenwich Hyatt. Author and journalist Joan Lunden will moderate the conversation with this young humanitarian. Members of the JLG, their guests, and community partners will be in attendance to recognize this important milestone in the JLG’s history. read more...

JLG Accepting Applications for Community Grant Award

The Junior League of Greenwich (JLG) is now accepting applications for its Community Grant Award. Every year, the Junior League of Greenwich awards up to $5,000 to a community organization. The grant is to provide financial support for a community need not currently being met by Junior League projects or programs. The grant will be awarded to fund new initiatives or expand programs relating to community needs, and is not to subsidize an existing program. The grant will be presented to the recipients in the Spring. read more...
