Greenwich Symphony Orchestra to perform this weekend

Greenwich Symphony Concerts Saturday, November 11 and Sunday, November 12 are guaranteed to be a cultural highlight for those who know or want to learn about classical music. Composers Mozart, Wagner, St. Saëns and Montgomery are on the program. Music Director Stuart Malina will lead the 86 professional musicians who make up the orchestra.

Greenwich Symphony’s Young People’s Concerts return with ‘Catch a Rising Star’

The Greenwich Symphony's new music director, Stuart Malina, enthralled over 1,700 Greenwich elementary school students in his first GSO Young People's Concerts last week. The concerts featured three extraordinarily talented teenage musicians from Greenwich and New York performing as soloists. The students were well prepared for the concert by the curriculum designed by Dr. Sandra Heikel, coordinator of Young People's Concerts/GSO in Greenwich Schools.

RMA Presents: Dvorak, Elgar, and the future of the Greenwich Symphony Orchestra

At a recent Retired Men's Association meeting, Stuart Malina, the music director and conductor of the Greenwich Symphony Orchestra (GSO), delivered a very informative discussion regarding “Dvorak, Elgar, and the future of the Greenwich Symphony Orchestra.” During his discussion Malina specifically praised the excellence of the Greenwich Performing Arts Center at Greenwich High School as among the best he has experienced around the world and he has experience many different venues as a conductor.
