Greenwich High School Students Ride for Pride

In celebration of Pride Month, the GHS Democracy in Action club is raising awareness and money through a virtual event and fundraiser in support of Kids in Crisis Lighthouse. The student club is sponsoring “Pride Ride” which is taking place June 17 to June 30. The students are asking the entire community to show support for Pride Month by setting exercise goals for themselves and raising funds for Lighthouse, a program which was acquired by Kids In Crisis in 2018 to support LGBTQ+ youth in Fairfield County in providing a safe and confidential space to encourage all LGBTQ+ young people to live their best, healthiest, and most authentic lives. read more...

CLC’s Virtual Dance Party with April Larken Raises $123k

Children’s Learning Centers of Fairfield County (CLC) held a virtual “I Will Survive,” fundraising dance party on Instagram Live on April 3. The popular Greenwich-based DJ April Larken hosted the 3-hour event to “help raise spirits and funds with good tunes!” There were over 600 participants throughout the night, from the tri-state area, California, Florida, the Boston area, and even a large contingency from England. Viewers were able to interact live at the party by giving virtual high fives, making comments and song requests in the live feed on the screen, and some lucky guests even got to “dance” with Larken via a split-screen. read more...

The 1st Annual Greenwich Grand Prix

Race on down to RPM Raceway in Stamford on Sunday, Oct. 27, to cheer your favorite go-kart racing team in the 1st Annual Greenwich Grand Prix. This family fundraiser is hosted by the Transportation Association of Greenwich (TAG) and funds raised from teams, spectators, donors and sponsors will go toward purchasing a new 20-passenger TAG para-transit van equipped with a wheelchair lift.
