Greenwich Rotary Club Supports Community

Greenwich Rotary, established in Greenwich in 1921, states that its mission as a community civic organization is to provide support, financial aid and good will in the areas of health, education and peace to bring about lasting change in the community and around the world. To this end Greenwich Rotary announces that its financial requests from Greenwich agencies have been met. They were proud of their ability to donate $4000 to Neighbor-to-Neighbor, most of the funding coming from the members themselves. Eversource Helps Communities During Covid-19 Pandemic

As part of its efforts to support all of its customers and communities during the COVID-19 pandemic, Eversource announced that the energy company is donating more than $2 million through the Eversource Foundation to nonprofit organizations in Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. These funds include the acceleration of the energy company’s regular $1.2 million annual donation to United Way agencies across all three states and an additional $1 million donation to be dispersed to those agencies and others providing social services such as food pantries and health and human service organizations. read more...

Dalio Philanthropies Gives $100,000 to Community Relief Fund

The Greenwich United Way’s Greenwich COVID-19 Community Relief Fund is more than halfway to its $500,000 goal thanks to a recent donation of $100,000 from Dalio Philanthropies. The fund will provide disaster relief and recovery efforts for Greenwich residents experiencing economic hardship due to the COVID-19 health crisis. Greenwich Hospital Receives $3 Million Donation

Greenwich Hospital Foundation announced that an anonymous donor gave $3 million to the hospital in support of the hospital’s Pediatrics Department. The gift will provide funding to establish a new Pediatric Ambulatory Care Center as well as name the Pediatric Emergency Waiting Room. Norman Roth, president & CEO, Greenwich Hospital said, “We are very grateful to the donor for embracing our vision of expanded pediatric care for our community through their philanthropic investment in Greenwich Hospital.” read more...
