BGCG Announces New CEO

The Board of Directors of Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich announced the appointment of Cristina Vittoria as Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2020. She currently serves as the organization’s Vice President of Development and will succeed Bobby Walker, Jr. whose decision to accept an opportunity at Greenwich Academy was announced earlier this year. read more...

Community Relief Fund Issues Grants for BGCG, River House

The Greenwich United Way’s Greenwich COVID-19 Community Relief Fund issued its third round of grants totaling $51,500 for Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich (BGCG) and River House. BGCG will use the grant for virtual club online activities for students, food support and computers. Girl Scout Brings Her Passion for Photography to BGCG

Middle school students at the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich set up their culminating photography showcase at the BGCG. As participants in the Club’s “Introduction to Photography” course, students worked throughout the winter program to develop their photography skills and build their portfolios. A selection of pieces from each student was printed and hung around the Club for display. The course was designed by Anna Meurer for her Girl Scout Gold Award, who led and taught the class. read more...

Students Invited to ‘Together We Shine’ Event

The Greenwich Junior United Way (GJrUW) – in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich and the Greenwich YWCA – will host the second annual “Together We Shine” red carpet celebration for Abilis. The “Roaring Twenties” themed event will take place on Saturday, June 8, 5:30-7:30 p.m., at the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich, 4 Horseneck Ln. Registration is free and open to all local high school students and recent graduates, ages 14 to 20. read more...
