Abilis to Hold Art Show

Abilis, the non-profit organization that provides services and support to more than 700 individuals with special needs and their families, will hold an Art Show at the First Bank of Greenwich, 444 E. Putnam Ave., on Wednesday, July 10 from 5 to 7 p.m. The show will feature paintings, photographs and digital art created by 14 adults who are supported by Abilis and participate in Abilis’ programs. The event will feature food, drinks and music, as performed by Abilis member Misa Shimada on the piano. All of the artwork being displayed will also be available for purchase. read more...

ASOG to Hold Winterfest Dinner, Art Show

The Art Society of Old Greenwich (ASOG) will hold the 58th annual Winterfest dinner and art show on Friday, Feb. 8 from 5 to 10 p.m., at the Riverside Yacht Club, 102 Club Rd. While ASOG members and their guests gather for this event each year, anyone can attend the event with a paid reservation. Come enjoy a delicious dinner, experience a festive and convivial atmosphere, live music and meet new artist friends. Art Society of Old Greenwich Presents Awards

The Art Society of Old Greenwich recently presented awards in two current art shows: the ͞Escape͟ art show at the Flinn Gallery, Greenwich Library and the Open Juried Show at the Bendheim Gallery, Greenwich Arts Council. In both shows, artists have created an array of artworks in watercolor, acrylic, oil, drawing/graphics/pastel, mixed media, photography and sculpture. read more...

Greenwich Point Art Show at Innis Arden

Join the Friends of Greenwich Point at the Innis Arden Cottage on Sunday, June 24 from 1 to 4 p.m. for an art show. The Show is being sponsored in conjunction with the Experience the Sound event and will feature drawings, paintings, and photographs of the Point. The artwork will not be for sale as per the guidelines from the Experience the Sound event organizers. However, the artists will bring cards with their contact information. read more...

The Greens to Host Open House, Art Show

The Greens at Greenwich will host their Annual Open House and Art Show on Thursday, May 17 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in honor of Older Americans Month. The Art Show will feature work created throughout the year by The Greens residents including water color, mixed media, collage and acrylics. Photographs taken by the residents’ Photography Club will also be featured. “We look forward to our annual Open House so as to share The Greens’ unique personality and to reflect upon our residents’ self-expression through art. The Greens Garden will be in bloom and is a haven of serenity and beauty. Artists Recognized at ASOG Art Show Reception

The Art Society of Old Greenwich recognized several artists for their creative vision and exceptional artworks at the June 8 reception for the society’s show at the Benheim Gallery. The show featured works of art from bold to contemplative in a variety of media including oil, acrylic, photography, graphics, mixed media, pastel, watercolor and sculpture. First, second and third place winners received cash awards, and honorable mention winners received ribbons. read more...

Friends of Greenwich Point Sponsor Art Show

The Friends of Greenwich Point will sponsor an art show on Sunday, June 25 from 1 to 4 p.m. The show will take place at the Innis Arden Cottage, and feature drawings, paintings, and photographs of the Point by local artists. Although the artwork will not be for sale at the show, the artists will have cards with their contact information. read more...
