Peter Sutton Discusses ‘The Bruce, Present and Future’

Peter Sutton, executive director of the Bruce Museum since 2001, will discuss the current state of the museum and its vision of the future on Wednesday, June 21 at 11 a.m., at the next Retired Men’s Association of Greenwich. Sutton will speak on the development of the collections, evident in the recent series of photography shows and the exhibition “Canvas and Cast: Highlights from the Bruce Museum’s Art Collection.” He will also discuss upcoming exhibitions, including shows featuring Toulouse-Lautrec and Andy Warhol. Bruce Volunteers Earn National President’s Service Award

Two young volunteers for the Bruce Museum earned the “Gold President’s Volunteer Service Award” for their 2015 service to the Bruce Museum and its Seaside Center program. Trinity College student Cameron Driscoll and Greenwich High School junior Leah Common received their awards at the Bruce Museum’s annual volunteer awards lunch on Jan. 25. Both were active participants in summer programs at the Seaside Center in Greenwich Point Park, sharing their knowledge of marine life and the environment of Long Island Sound.
