Gov. Lamont Activates State’s Severe Cold Weather Protocol

Governor Ned Lamont announced that as bitter cold temperatures and wind chills are anticipated to impact the state over the next several days, he will be activating the state’s Severe Cold Weather Protocol beginning at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18 and lasting through 9 a.m. on Saturday, December 21. Middle School Students Invited to Create Christmas Ornaments for Governor’s Residence

Gov. Ned Lamont and First Lady Annie Lamont announced earlier this week that they are inviting middle school students in Connecticut to design and create Christmas ornaments that will be displayed at the Governor’s Residence this holiday season. Sales Tax Free Week Runs August 18 to 24

Governor Ned Lamont is reminding consumers in Connecticut that the state’s sales tax-free week begins Sunday, August 18 and runs through Saturday, August 24. During this one-week sales tax holiday, retail purchases of most clothing and footwear items priced under $100 are exempt from the sales and use tax. This exemption applies to each eligible item under $100, regardless of how many of those items are sold to a customer on the same invoice. read more...
