‘Virtual Sip and Shop’ Event Offers Gift Certificates

Greenwich Virtual Sip and Shop and the Greenwich Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors are rewarding participants in the recent Greenwich Virtual Sip and Shop with ten $100 gift certificates to ten local stores. That’s $1,000 worth of gift certificates. The Greenwich Virtual Sip and Shop has been running special promotions May 1 through 8 in advance of Mother’s Day, graduations and to support local retailers during these challenging times. In support of this effort, ten Board members of the Greenwich Chamber of Commerce have generously donated $100 each in gift certificates to further the support of local businesses. This event has been very successful in encouraging the community to support local independent retailers by shopping from home to help make sure these businesses are still here when we can all finally shop in person once again. YWCA, United Way to Host ‘Speak Up, Speak Out’

On Thursday, February 27, at 6:30 pm, YWCA Greenwich and the Greenwich United Way will host an event called “Speak Up, Speak Out: Celebrating Our Stories with Kane Smego.” This dynamic interactive performance focuses on issues of race, gender, community building, and the stories that we all carry. February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month

On Monday, February 3, First Selectman Fred Camillo will read a proclamation declaring February 2020 Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month in Greenwich. YWCA Greenwich Domestic Abuse Services, along with students from the Greenwich High School YNet Club will be in attendance. BCA and Greenwich Merchants Partner to Support Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Breast Cancer Alliance (BCA) is once again partnering with more than 70 businesses to present GO FOR PINK, a special day of shopping and events dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the Town of Greenwich. Scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 6, GO FOR PINK brings the community together to raise awareness and critical funds toward eradicating breast cancer and to further support BCA’s mission: the funding of innovative research, breast surgery fellowships, education, and support for underserved women. A majority of participating merchants will be donating 10% of their day’s sales to BCA and some will be extending their donation throughout October with both in-store and online sales. read more...
