Pen Women Hold Art Exhibit at Byram Library

Five area artists are showing their work in an exhibit entitled “Welcoming Moments” at the Byram Shubert Library, 21 Mead Ave., from November 2-30. Each artist has her own individual style, from the Abstract Expressionist paintings by Sharon Shisler, to the abstract oils and embroideries of Carol Nipomnich Dixon, to the naturalistic landscapes of Lucie Anderes, the abstract collages of Katia Streiff, and the mixed media representational art of Vivian Bergenthal. read more...

CT Pioneer Branch NLAPW to Hold Annual Exhibition in Town

The Connecticut Pioneer Branch of the National League of American Pen Women will have its Annual Exhibition of Art, Music, and Writing at the Gertrude White Gallery of the Greenwich YWCA, May 2 to 31. The group of professional area women will offer work centered around the theme “Spring Inspirations.” Participating visual artists include Lucie Anderes, Vivian Bergenthal, Carol Nipomnich Dixon, Grace Le Vander, Katia Streiff, Mary Fike, and Kathryn Shorts. read more...

Artists Recognized at ASOG Art Show Reception

The Art Society of Old Greenwich recognized several artists for their creative vision and exceptional artworks at the June 8 reception for the society’s show at the Benheim Gallery. The show featured works of art from bold to contemplative in a variety of media including oil, acrylic, photography, graphics, mixed media, pastel, watercolor and sculpture. First, second and third place winners received cash awards, and honorable mention winners received ribbons. read more...

Students, Artists Awarded at ASOG Spring Art Show

The Art Society of Old Greenwich (ASOG) presented its 2016 Scholarship Awards to three Greenwich High School students for their outstanding artwork in charcoal, photography and ceramics. The presentations were made on April 9 at the ASOG Spring Art Show reception, which took place at the Garden Education Center. The ASOG also presented 2016 Spring Show awards to ASOG member artists. read more...

ASOG Spring Art Show Begins April 1

Florals, landscapes, abstracts, still lifes, and more, in colors both vibrant and subtle, will be on exhibit in the 2016 Spring Art Show, sponsored by the Art Society of Old Greenwich, April 1 to 29. The show will be located at the Garden Education Center, 130 Bible Street in Cos Cob. This show also features the award-winning artwork of Greenwich High School students who have been selected to receive ASOG’s annual scholarship awards. read more...
