“Scam Me If You Can:” An Evening with Frank Abagnale

Every year con artists scam billions of dollars from unsuspecting individuals. The advancements in modern technology conveniences have increased the risk every year from phone and email scams to medical and insurance fraud. Are you confident of your abilities to spot a scam?

The Greenwich Library Learning Lab is honored to present Frank Abagnale, one of the world’s most respected authorities on forgery, embezzlement, and security for a discussion on technology and identity theft. Mr. Abagnale is the bestselling author of Scam Me If You Can: Simple Strategies to Outsmart Today’s Rip-off Artists, and the subject behind Steven Spielberg’s film Catch Me If You Can. 

For over 40 years Mr. Abagnale has been associated with the FBI, as an academy lecturer. He is a faculty member at the National Advocacy Center (NAC) operated by the Department of Justice. He has consulted more than 14,000 financial institutions, corporations and law enforcement agencies using his fraud prevention programs. He has also written many books and articles including The Art of the Steal, Stealing Your Life and his newest book Scam Me If You Can.
