SUMMARY:Where We Are - Photography Show
DESCRIPTION:Where We Are is a solo photography exhibition by Alexander D’Agostino exploring the moments\, places\, and connections that shape everyday life. Through images of city streets\, coastal landscapes\, and fleeting human encounters\, the exhibition invites viewers to slow down and engage with the beauty\, character\, and shared experiences often hidden within the ordinary. Blending documentary observation with visual storytelling\, the work offers a reflection on place\, presence\, and what it means to belong.

SUMMARY:Greenwich Choral Society's Summer Sing
DESCRIPTION:It is almost time for the Greenwich Choral Society’s ONE and ONLY Summer Sing of 2026!\nOn Tuesday\, August 18\, come join us for an evening of glorious music\, great company\, lots of singing—and absolutely no pressure to remember where you put your concert black!\nWe will be singing two magnificent works: Poulenc’s Gloria and John Rutter’s Requiem—two of my personal favorites! If you already know them\, wonderful! If you have never sung them before\, even better! Bring your voice\, your enthusiasm\, and perhaps a pencil. We will take care of the rest.\nHere is the plan:\n🎵 We will rehearse both pieces together.\n☕ We will take a social break to catch up with old friends\, meet new ones\, and enjoy some well-earned conversation.\n🎶 Then\, we will put it all together and sing through both works as if we are giving a performance—because sometimes the best concerts are the ones where everyone is having too much fun to worry!\nFor only $20\, you can spend the evening singing beautiful music\, reconnecting with fellow choristers\, meeting new singing friends\, and supporting GCS. That is a pretty great bargain—and considerably more fun than spending the evening doing laundry!

SUMMARY:Filling in the Blanks Unite to Fight 5K
DESCRIPTION:Join Filling in the Blanks on August 23\, 2026\, at the Eighth Annual Unite to Fight 5K. The race will take place at Mill River Park located in Stamford\, CT. \nIn Fairfield County\, more than 33\,000 children are not sure where their next meal will come from. Most will get breakfast and lunch from school every weekday\, but many will go from Friday lunch until Monday at breakfast without a decent meal. Founded in 2013\, Filling in the Blanks is an organization that fills in those weekend gaps by providing each child in its program with a bag filled with healthy\, easy-to-prepare food for the weekend. When the obstacle of food insecurity is removed\, children experience increased academic achievement in school and greater opportunities for success in their lives. FITB continuously serves 10\,000+ kids at over 200 sites throughout Fairfield\, Westchester\, and Putnam counties. FITB has also established four in-school pantries and in 2023 launched the Fresh Food On The Move mobile pantry that provides families with fresh produce\, veggies\, proteins and other staples\, as well as health and wellness services.

SUMMARY:Sound Bath & Sunset Healing
DESCRIPTION:The J House Greenwich will host an evening of deep relaxation and mindfulness during its August 27 Sound Bath and Sunset Healing.\nThis biofield therapy event offers attendees a unique chance to unwind and reset in a tranquil\, candlelit setting unlike standard studio classes. Guests will be invited to gently float in the hotel’s heated outdoor pool while immersed in a therapeutic soundscape.\nThe evening’s sound bath will be facilitated by prominent wellness practitioner Holly Conetta\, who specializes in biofield therapy—an approach centered on balancing the subtle energy fields that surround and run through the human body.\nConetta’s sessions are thoughtfully structured to align these inner energies\, aiming to leave participants feeling completely revitalized\, anchored\, and peacefully restored. Through her guided sound work\, clients are encouraged to identify and release stagnant energies that frequently contribute to physical discomfort\, mental tension\, and overall imbalances in the mind and body.

SUMMARY:Birding at the Bruce Museum with Greenwich Audubon
DESCRIPTION:Join the Bruce Museum and Greenwich Audubon for a tour of the neighboring Oneida Sanctuary. Tours will meet at the Visitor Services Desk in the museum lobby and walk from the Bruce Park Playground to Audubon’s neighboring Oneida Sanctuary. The Oneida Sanctuary is located in one of Greenwich’s only remaining coastal salt marshes. The walk covers unpaved and uneven ground and is approximately one mile from start to finish.\nOneida Sanctuary not only provides an opportunity to see bird species that use this special habitat such as waterfowl\, shorebirds\, herons & egrets\, but also to learn about Audubon’s conservation efforts to improve our coastal resiliency in Greenwich.
