DESCRIPTION:Join us for “Museum Movers\,” a Bruce Museum yoga class for learners ages 3-6 and their grown-ups. Participants will explore the Bruce Museum’s galleries using a variety of sensory and experiential modalities\, followed by an exhibition-inspired yoga class. Museum Movers uses movement\, breath\, group games\, and creative activities to reinforce the gallery experience. Have fun in our galleries and get to know the Bruce in a whole new way. \nWear comfortable clothing and be prepared to remove your shoes and socks. We have a limited number of foam mats\, please bring your own mat. \nCost: Free with admission to the Bruce Museum. Members’ admission is free with membership. Reservations are required! \nThanks to a generous anonymous donor\, visitors under 18 get FREE admission on weekends from July 5th through August 31st. DESCRIPTION:Families are invited to the Bruce Museum on Saturday\, July 19\, for our first outdoor summer Family Day\, featuring fun and interactive programming from 11am–4pm! \nThis year’s theme is sustainability\, and we’ll be exploring creative ways to care for the planet through hands-on activities\, nature-based learning\, and community connections. \nWe will get crafty with paper tube binoculars\, make seed balls from recycled paper\, and contribute to a communal weaving project inspired by artist Jeremy Frey\, whose work is currently on view in the museum’s galleries. Families can also test their eco-knowledge with a recycling sorting game\, enjoy free outdoor chalk drawing\, and then join the Greenwich Audubon Center for a family friendly bird walk – the perfect opportunity to test out those handmade binoculars! \nWhile you’re here\, cool off with a frozen fruit drink from Tutti Mango\, parked outside the museum all afternoon. \nIn the event of inclement weather\, all activities will be moved indoors. \nFree Weekend Admission for Youth! \nThanks to a generous anonymous donor\, visitors under 18 get FREE admission on weekends from July 5th through August 31st. But\, at the YMCA of Greenwich\, we’ve got your back!\nJoin us Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for one (or more) of our week-long Teen Wellness Mini-Camps. Open to ages 11 to 15 years old.\nNot sure where to start? You’ve got options! Enjoy three different one-week camps throughout the summer. Each Mini-Camp will teach you the basics\, but with slightly different workouts and wellness tips. Boxing? Stretching? HIIT? Yoga?
